This versatile citric acid is a natural, plant-based household cleaner with descaling and rust-removing properties. It can be used around the home as an alternative to vinegar, including for descaling kettles, coffee machines, taps and showerheads, as well as helping to remove limescale from washing machines. The 750g pack comes in a resealable, plastic-free and home-compostable bag.

HOW TO USE
Descaling: Dilute 1 to 2 tablespoons of citric acid in 1 litre of cold water. Use to descale kettles, coffee machines, cups, taps and showerheads, then rinse with clean water.
Washing machine: Add 6 to 8 tablespoons directly to the drum and run a 90°C cycle to help remove limescale.
Toilet cleaner: Pour half the bag into the toilet bowl and leave overnight.
General cleaning: Use diluted citric acid as an alternative to vinegar for household cleaning.
