These smart little seeds are fibre rich and can absorb 10 times their weight in water which is why they can be useful as a thickening agent in cooking and often used as an egg replacement in vegan recipes. Sprinkle onto and into anything you want for a great nutritional boost. Frequently added to smoothies and to make great ‘setting’ puddings.
Tiny black seeds that pack in a massive amount nutrients, vitamins, minerals, protein, antioxidants! Chia is the ancient Mayan word for strength – the Mayans prized the seed for its health giving and energy sustaining properties. It has recently again been recognised as a ‘super food’ – perhaps one food genuinely worthy of the title?
Grown by Peter and Andrew Fairs in Essex, these chia seeds are the result of five years of crop trials and developments.

PACKAGING
All dried food orders are packed in home compostable brown paper bags. Some food items contain natural oils which may be absorbed by the brown paper bags. Some natural oils may seep through onto other items. We recommend putting your dried food items in airtight or semi airtight containers to retain freshness.
